AMAZING RACE : Cape Town - Swellendam
The race route has been designed to compliment our Breede River Getaway. The Route will take the guests from Cape Town along the N2, visiting various points and collecting clues en-route to Swellendam.
The race is tailor made with it's finishing point at Up The Creek Camp, where guests will be greeted by their Guide team who have prepared a well deserved mouth watering meal after their Adventurous Race Day !
Only to later relax around the fire before snuggling down in our comfortable A-Frame chalets.

FULL DAY HIKE - BACK TABLE DAM CIRCUIT
Cost of All Full Day Hikes : R495.00 p/p
Approx Hiking Time: 6 hour
Level Of Difficulty: Apart from the length of the walk, this is the least strenuous ways to both ascend and descend the mountain.
Brief Overview : Ascending from Constantia Nek, a full circuit of the dams found on the back table area of the mountain. This beautiful walk includes a visit to the museum which traces the history of the dams which were built in the late 1800’s.

FULL DAY HIKE - CONTOUR PATH - CONSTANTIA NEK TO RHODES MEMORIAL

Approx Hiking Time: 5 hours
Level Of Difficulty: No strenuous uphills or scrambling required. No exposure.
Brief Overview : The contour path follows a relatively flat route, along the Eastern slopes of the mountain. A well maintained path with boardwalks in places, this route, is suitable for anyone looking a days walk with no strenuous climbs. Winding through indigenous forest, with views over the Southern Suburbs and False Bays, this a favourite route for the whole family.

FULL DAY HIKE - KASTEELSPOORT TO TABLE TOP

Approx Hiking Time: 6 hours
Level Of Difficulty: A steep ascent and descent, but little exposure. A general level of fitness is required
Brief Overview : After a steep ascent up Kasteelspoort, the route follows through the beautiful and remote valley of isolation, to the table top. Here a visit to Maclears beacon, the highest point on Table Mountain is an option. Descend via cable car or Platteklip gorge.

FULL DAY HIKE - TWELVE APOSTLES WALK

Approx Hiking Time: 6 hours
Level Of Difficulty: Although Kasteelspoort offers quite a steep descent, there is no exposure on this route. Due to the length of the walk a general fitness level is required
Brief Overview : Beginning and ending at Tafelberg road. This route follows the Pipe Track, along the base of the Western slopes of the mountain. Ascending via corridor ravine, we then follow the twelve apostles back towards the Table Top. The views over the Atlantic Ocean are absolutely magnificent. Time can also be spent exploring “Tranquility Crags” A natural formation of rocks, famous for its peaceful atmosphere. Descend via Kasteels poort.

FULL DAY HIKE : SKELEPTON GORGE - MACLEARS BEACON
Cost of All Full Day Hikes: R495.00 p/p
Approx Hiking Time: 5 hours (descend via cable car) OR 6 – 7 hours (descend via Platteklip Gorge)
Level Of Difficulty: Both Skeleton and Platteklip Gorges are steep, so a general level of fitness is required. Although there is little in the way of exposure, there are some ladders on Skeleton Gorge and some rocks to scramble over.
Brief Overview : Skeleton Gorge, found on the Eastern side of Table Mountain, ascends above Kirstenbosch Gardens. Once on the top, the route follows the Eastern slopes of the mountain, to Maclears Beacon. The highest point of the mountain. Descent via the Cable car or Platteklip Gorge.

HALF DAY HIKE - LIONS HEAD

Approx Hiking Time: 3 hours.
Level Of Difficulty: Some exposure.
Brief Overview : Lions Head, the sugarloaf peak alongside the main Table Mountain,offers some of the best views in the Cape. A short steep ascent, with magnificent 360 degree views from the top. There are 2 routes possible. One following an exciting scrambling route with the assistance of chains. The other avoids the chains and is a less exciting, but still a steep route.
HALF DAY HIKE - NEWLANDS FOREST CIRCUIT

Approx Hiking Time: 1- 3 Hours
Level Of Difficulty: Easy
Brief Overview : A stroll through the forest of Newlands escaping the city for a while. The numerous paths leading around the forest and to the contour path, mean a walk can take as long as we like.
HALF DAY HIKE - NURSERY / SKELETON CIRCUIT
Cost of All Half Day Walks: R350.00 p/p
Approx Hiking Time: 3 hours
Level of Difficulty: Both gorges are steep and strenuous. Some ladders and boulders to negotiate. However, no exposure.
Brief Overview : Two strenuous gorges, 20 minutes apart. Above Kirstenbosch gardens with magnificent views of False Bay. This route offers some of the best indigenous forests and fynbos viewing on the mountain.
HALF DAY HIKE - PLATTEKLIP GORGE
Cost of All Half Day Hikes : R350.00 p/p
Approx Hiking Time: 2 hours
Including Maclears Beacon Circuit: 3 hours
Level Of Difficulty : Steep and strenuous. No exposure
Brief Overview :Platteklip Gorge offers the fastest way to the Table Top of the mountain. Spectacular views over the city and Robben Island are a highlight. Take the Cable car down.This walk may be extended to add a walk to Maclears Beacon the highest point on the mountain.
HALF DAY HIKE - ROOIKATS RAVINE
Cost of All Half Day Hikes : R350.00 p/p
Approx Hiking Time: 2 hours.
Level Of Difficulty: A short strenuous climb.
Brief Overview : An excellent walk, for those with little time, but keen to get some exercise. The waterfall found at the top of the steep path is well worth the effort. Covered in moss, and slowing to a trickle during the summer months. It is surely one of the most beautiful sights on the mountain.
